Shibusa is a japanese word referring to an aesthetic of simple, subtle, and unobtrusive beauty. It is an enriched, subdued appearance or experience of intrinsically fine quality, achieved through an economy of form, line, and effort, producing a timeless tranquility. The seven elements of shibusa are simplicity, implicity, modesty, silence, nature, daily life, and imperfection.
The colours of shibusa are “muddy” colours, with gray added to primary colours to create a silvery effect that ties the different colours together.

Our fabrics are hand-crafted in Italy and woven exclusively with natural fibres. What may appear to be imperfections are in fact characteristics, enhancing the natural attributes of the fabric. We suggest using mild detergent, and neither bleach nor softener. When you wash it for the first time, soak it first in cold water, then wash it with warm water. After that, you can go up to 40°C. Gently tumble dry. Iron when still damp. With all cleaning methods, a shrinkage of 3 to 10% may happen. Don't forget that fabrics tend to fade if placed in direct sunlight.
